Mobile phones at school
Your child’s school may have a policy on using mobile phones. It’s always
best to check what that policy is and make sure your child sticks to it.
If your school doesn’t yet have a mobile phone policy, you might want to
suggest one. Geckos are great for keeping family and friends connected, but
they’re not made for use during school hours. To have a phone ringing during
class is a distraction for everyone.
Here at Gecko we’ve seen a great policy, where phones are turned off and
checked in with the teacher before classes start. When classes are finished,
the Geckos are picked up by their owners again, who are then free to use
them.
It’s also a good idea to make sure your child’s Gecko has their name on it
(name tag stickers are included with every Gecko phone). Your child should
always know how to turn their Gecko on and off too.
